This day-long workshop will be an intensive introduction to strategic planning, business management, fundraising, promotion, and verbal communication skills designed specifically for visual artists.
Facilitated by Ela Troyano, filmmaker, and Andrea Arroyo, visual artist.
Location: The Cornerstone Center, 178 Bennett Avenue (at 189th Street), New York, NY 10040.
Date: Saturday, December 4, 10am-5pm.
Eligibility: Open to predominantly Spanish-speaking visual artists residing in New York City.

Strategic Planning for Spanish-Speaking Artists
Creative Capital’s Professional Development Program (PDP) and NoMAA present a strategic planning workshop for Spanish-speaking visual artists.
Workshop Description: This day-long workshop will be an intensive introduction to strategic planning, business management, fundraising, promotion, and verbal communication skills designed specifically for visual artists; it will address issues such as working with a gallery, business negotiations, best practices for self-management, and the challenges and assets of working in multiple cultural contexts.
Facilitated by Ela Troyano, filmmaker, and Andrea Arroyo, visual artist
Location: The Cornerstone Center, 178 Bennett Avenue (at 189th Street), New York, NY 10040
Date: Saturday, December 4, 2010, 10am-5pm (includes breakfast and lunch)
Eligibility: Workshop is open to predominantly Spanish-speaking visual artists residing in New York City. Artists should have demonstrated professional experience in their fields, with a serious commitment to their careers.
