Join your colleagues to meet a panel of arts funders based in and serving the New York City Arts community. Become familiar with funders’ process and funding priorities, restrictions and interests. Moderator: L. Joy Williams, Campaign Manager, 1% for Culture.

September 20, 2010 - Open Artist Forum
This facilitated artist forum is an opportunity for artists from all disciplines to identify solutions, issues and challenges and share ideas for improving the creative environment in Harlem. Emphasis on collaborations, promotion, visibility and new linkages. Come with your ideas.
Location: The Arts Horizons LeRoy Neiman Art Center, 2785 Frederick Douglass Boulevard (near 148th Street).

September 27, 2010 - Grant Writing to Win
Explore the basics of effective grant-writing. This workshop is designed to help artists and arts administrators build the strongest case for their projects to public and private funding sources. Workshop will focus on developing clear project outlines; budget presentation and researching grant/funding sources. Instructor: Sara Juli, Founder/Director, SURALA CONSULTING.
